Message to Members Regarding Virtual Conference Pricing

In response to member feedback, SVU proudly announces that all registrations for the SVU Virtual Conference: Vision 2020 will receive the $50 COVID-19 discount.

The discount applies automatically to registrations in all categories, and for both SVU members and nonmembers. This decision was made jointly by the SVU Finance Committee, Board of Directors, Annual Conference Committee, and SVU staff.

Students and Fellows: Additionally, all surgical fellows/residents/trainees at an accredited hospital, and all students in a CAAHEP-accredited program, will receive FREE registration.

Faculty: Registration fees are also being waived for all faculty and abstract presenters, in recognition of their hard work and contributions to the Virtual Conference.  Faculty should expect to receive separate communication from SVU on this soon.

Refunds: Anyone who has already registered and paid for the conference will be automatically refunded the difference in price in the coming weeks. Please be patient, as we have a lot of refunds to process even as we are preparing for the conference itself!

With the Covid discount now built in, the updated pricing for SVU Virtual Conference: Vision 2020 is as follows:

  • Technologist Member: $200 $150
  • Physician Member: $250 $200
  • Technologist Nonmember: $300 $250
  • Physician Nonmember: $350 $300
  • Surgical Fellows: $125 FREE
  • ALL Students: $50 FREE

While SVU would truly love to be able to offer the Virtual Conference free to everyone, that is simply not feasible due to the costs SVU incurs in hosting this event. Costs include the conference microsite, hosting platform, IT support for faculty and learners, CME Credits, and marketing.

Dates: SVU Virtual Conference: Vision 2020 will be held from Wednesday, September 9 through Saturday, September 12.

CME: All attendees will receive up to 19 SVU-CME Credits or AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credits, commensurate with sessions attended.

Online Access for 5 months! Importantly, all Vision 2020 content will be available on-demand for CME until February 2021. This is included free with your registration before or even after the conference.

Content: In addition to dozens of sessions covering a variety of vascular ultrasound topics, this year’s conference also contains our new “Clash of the Titans” debates, where two heavyweights in our field will square off head-to-head to debate some of the most pressing topics affecting our profession. In-person conference favorites such as the Innovation Stations have been modified to a virtual format. All attendees will also get the chance to tour our Virtual Marketplace, where our exhibitors will be displaying new products and services. The Marketplace will be available publicly (no registration required) now through Feb. 2021.

SVU thanks all our members for their feedback and support throughout these difficult times. We look forward to virtually welcoming you to SVU Virtual Conference: Vision 2020 next month!
