Carol Miranda has over 40 years experience as a sonographer. She is tripled registered in Vascular Technology, Abdominal Sonography and Adult Echocardiography. She is currently the Vascular Laboratory Technical Director at Cardiovascular Associates of Virginia – Bon Secours, a 15 cardiologist practice located in Richmond, Virginia. She was previously the Vascular Lab Technical Director at Renal Consultants of Wyoming Valley in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, where she did research and had numerous publications regarding the ultrasound assessment of dialysis access grafts. She has served as SVU Treasurer, been a reviewer for the Journal for Vascular Ultrasound and has chaired the Abstract and Membership committees. She has given many presentations at regional and national level conferences. When not working, she can be found enjoying the great outdoors by running, hiking or kayaking.
