Vascular Ultrasound Technologist

Hoag Hospital, Newport Beach, CA

I have earned my Associate degree in Accounting in 1996 but found myself so fascinated in Ultrasound while working at an imaging center. I decided to go back to school in 2003 at Cypress College in California for another AA degree in Radiology and at the same time attending Ultrasound program at Newbridge college and graduated in 2005. I also after graduated took some vascular ultrasound classes at Cypress College for additional education.
After graduated I was first working as an Xray and mammogram tech, and became full time ultrasound technologist at same hospital for 5 years until I got hired to work at Hoag Hospital as a vascular ultrasound technologist for 10 years now.
I have passion and endless determination to find pathology for an accurate diagnosis. I am dedicated to quality vascular ultrasound, research and critical thinking. I have helped together with our team to build Hoag vascular department to become strong in TCD studies for accurate optimal diagnostic for vasospasm, and TCD bubble PFO studies. We work closely with Neuro ICU and stroke departments, we have gained trusts from neurologists and intensivists in these kinds of studies.
I have done 2 poster cases for SVU and presenting many cases for our own department. This is my first time I will present in a virtual conference. I hope I will do much better for future cases and will continue to fascinate myself in learning from work and from researching. Thank you for excepting me on this case study.
